Hello again... After having missed a year of traveling abroad, Geoff and I are back on the road.
Before the major excursion oversees, we are headed down to NYC this weekend to be part of the Bike New York 5 Boro Bike Ride. This might be a good warm-up for our Amsterdam bike/barge trip. Felt it might be fun to start the blog off with this mini-adventure and share it with our family and friends.
We leave Saturday morning, the ride is on Sunday, and we will drive back on Monday. This is approx. 42 mile ride going through all 5 boroughs - lots of bridges. We will be part of 32,000 other people - YIKES!! It all culminates in Staten Island at the end of the Verazzano Bridge. We decided to stay in Staten Island so we would not have to be part of the 32,000 going back to NYC.
